Biography
Dianne Tidwell migrated to Chattanooga from Columbus, Ohio in 2011. Having grown up as a local professor’s daughter, no one was shocked that she chose the Ohio State University for both her BA and MA programs. She graduated in 1989 with a BA in English literature, graduating summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, with honors, and with distinction.
After working for AT&T for a few years, she earned an MA in English Education and took a hiatus from the corporate world to teach. Dianne then returned to corporate life, working in the software organizations of several fortune 100 and 500 companies in roles ranging from the more technical side of software to managing products to managing people to managing strategic alliances with other software companies. Her decision to leave the software industry was inspired by Jerry Tidwell when he and Dianne met in 2017—Jerry’s enthusiasm for what he did was contagious. Jerry and Dianne married and then combined forces in 2018.
As the operations manager, Dianne brings a level of business acumen to Tidwell & Associates that rivals the best in the market. As a paralegal, her broad knowledge and experiences, as well as the training she received in the ABA-accredited paralegal studies certificate program at Chattanooga State (4.0 GPA in 2018) make her an invaluable asset to our clients.
Dianne loves the outdoors, which is what originally brought her to Chattanooga. However, she struggles with workaholism, and Jerry often must drag her away from her computer. Dianne also loves both travel and dogs, which has led to her borrowing other people’s dogs so she can enjoy dogs part time and otherwise be free to travel.
